台儿庄区充分挖掘大战文化、运河文化,不断整合旅游资源,加强基础设施建设,精心打造红色旅游基地,目前已经形成了台儿庄大战纪念馆,李宗仁史料馆、台儿庄战史陈列馆以及台儿庄大战主要遗迹清真寺、中正门、新关帝庙等为主要景点的台儿庄大战景区遗址及明运河、明清时期的古建筑、古街巷、古码头为主要景点的古运河旅游区,使红色旅游景区成为加强爱国主义教育、革命传统教育,陶冶人们情操的重要载体。今年是国家红色旅游开发的第一年,台儿庄大战遗址景区被中宣部、国家发改委、国家旅游局等13家部门联合列入百家红色旅游精典景区名录,成为国家首批扶持发展的15家红色旅游景区之一,山东省仅此一家。台儿庄区直接从事红色旅游人员1200多人,年接待游客40万人次,旅游经济收入超过 12亿元。
