The Society of Hydrology and Meteorology of China Society of Marine Lakes and Hummers held an academic annual meeting on December 3-9, 1980 in Gulangyu Island, surrounded by blue waves and covered with verdant trees. Representatives from 69 research, teaching and hydrometeorological observatories stations in 14 provinces and cities including Liaoning, Jilin, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Yunnan, Hubei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai attended the conference More than 160 people.
