中国科学院科普工作研讨会4月12日在全国科普工作先进集体、中科院西双版纳热带植物园召开,国家科技部、中国科协、国家自然科学基金委员会、云南省科委,版纳州委、州政府等部门的有关领导同志,中科院被列为“全国青少年科技教育基地”、全国科普工作先进集体和个人所在单位及科普工作有一定特色的研究所共70多人出席了研讨会。版纳州副州长刀林荫代表州委州政府,致词欢迎各位代表。本次会议的主要议题是认真学习江泽民总书记致全国科普工作会议的信,李岚清、温家宝副总理在全国科普工作会议上的讲话,贯彻落实全国科普工作《纲要》精神;讨论中国科学院“十五”科普工作规划纲要;交流科普工作经验。科普工作是科学事业发展中密不可分的组成部分。中科院拥有100,多个研究所,50个国家重点实验室、15个国家工程技术研究中心,一大批科学装置,80多个野外观测试验站、10多个植物园,近30个生物标本馆及一批高技术研究基地,这些不仅是国家最重要的科学资源,也是国家最重要的科普资源。本次会议进一步明确提出中科院要把科普工作作为实施“科教兴国”战略的重要任务和精神文明建设的重要内容来抓。
