用稀土燐光体做红基色,可以提供足够的强度,但稀土材料比较贵,增加了显象管的成本;另外,它的余辉较短和兰绿燐光体不匹配。这个专利主要是提供一个制作荧光屏上红色单元的方法,使它在电子束强度大致相同的激发条件下既具有能够和兰绿材料配成白光的足够强度,又具有能够和兰绿材料相适应的余辉。具体办法是,将稀土发光粉涂在它应有的地方,然后外加一层所谓“亮度控制”材料。
Using a rare earth phosphor as the red primary color provides sufficient strength, but the rare earth material is more expensive, increasing the cost of the kinescope; in addition, its afterglow is shorter and the blue-green phosphor does not match. This patent mainly provides a method of making a red unit on a phosphor screen so that it has both sufficient intensity of white light to be mixed with a blue-green material under excitation conditions of substantially the same electron beam intensity, and has the ability to be compatible with a blue-green material afterglow. The specific method is to paint the rare earth luminescent powder where it should be, and then add a layer of so-called “brightness control” material.
