In 2000, Hebei Province Federation of Social Undertakings conducted survey and research on urban public social sciences in Hebei province within the province and explored the definition and evaluation of public social science literacy. This is the first survey conducted in China on the degree of popularization of social sciences in the urban public. Regarding the content of this survey, Hebei Federation of Social Associations has compiled into a book titled “Research on Public Social Science Literacy of Cities in Hebei Province”, introducing them specifically Investigation methods, as well as in-depth reflection on the findings.
