Cryosurgery has two distinct features: It can treat malignant tumors that are difficult to treat with other means, and may also have tumor-specific immune effects. The combined use of comprehensive treatment including immune cryosurgery provides a new approach to the treatment of cancer. Animal experiments show that cryotherapy can enhance the immune response. In rat experimental tumors, cryotherapy alone did not induce a frozen immune response similar to humans. However, supplementation with appropriate immunostimulants during cryosurgery induced a strong anti-tumor response and significantly prolonged experimental animals.
