针对高校情报教育中开设“情报学”课的诸多议论,结合我们6年来的“情报学”课教学经验和由我院高教研究室批准立项研究的“情报学教学内容,方法和考核方式的研究”课题(已获1991年我院优秀教学研究成果二等奖),我们开展了一次工科大学生学习“情报学”必要性的抽样调查。这次调研的目的是为了了解已经上过“情报学”课之后走上工作岗位的本科生和已经开始进入课题研究的硕土研究生对学习“情报学”课必要性的看法,同时对有关问题进行分析和探讨。
