Since the 1960s, many foreign countries are very concerned about the utilization of surplus materials in the logging area. The main reason is that the supply of timber is generally insufficient and the amount of residue left in the cutting area is extremely impressive. For example, in Sweden, the remnants of annual cutting areas account for a relatively low level of logging of about 10%, Japan up to 40%, and the United States, Canada and the Soviet Union about 20-25%. However, up to now, the utilization of residuals in cutting areas is far behind in terms of both quantity and speed of development. The main reasons for this are summarized as follows. 1. The United States, Canada and other countries believe that the capitalists use more surplus metal in the logging area to make less profits and make them unprofitable. This is a common cause for capitalist countries.
