Animal Diseases In the extraordinary year of 2003 when humans and zoonotic diseases hit humans, the impact was unexpected. SARS, foot-and-mouth disease, mad cow disease, monkey variola, and Ebola virus. These “zoonotic diseases” have frequently raided us through various means: monkey variola, rabbit fever, and Ebola virus that broke out in the United States in the first half of 2003; 2003 On December 5th, after a bird flu was discovered on a chicken farm in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, there were 610,000 chickens and ducks slaughtered. Then, news on the spread of bird flu continued to disturb the nerves of people around the world. Humans seem to be facing the great challenge of the microbial world. These diseases have one thing in common - zoonotic, that is, they can infect both animals and humans.
