桥梁加固必须在原有结构上进行,加固方案的设计与实施必受到原结构形式、结构材料和环境的制约,旧桥加固的特点是加固空间有限,包括施工空间和使用空间的限制,加固后的结构高度要满足桥下通车和同行的相关要求。对资料比较欠缺的的旧桥要通过荷载试验等手段掌握旧桥的工作状况,同时要考虑新旧结构的共同作用,对加固设计中涉及新、旧设计规范的交叉问题要注意应用和比较。
