In the junior high school chemistry textbook, Chapter Nine, “The Size of a Molecule,” a metaphor is made for the size of a molecule: “If we want to come up with a more specific concept of the size of a molecule, imagine that we know Of all objects are enlarged to 10 million times, then the average person will be longer than the diameter of the Earth, then the water molecules have the size of peas. ”If the number of molecules can be one by one, and each person can count 1,000 molecules per second, then the number of people in the world will keep counting - in the meantime, only about 1/30 of the total number of molecules in a drop of water."
