（一）云南,山岳耸峙,河谷纵横,自古以来,交通闭塞,对外交流困难。然而,近年来,在千山万壑之中,一支支筑路大军在不断挺进,一条条婉蜒公路在不断延伸,天堑变通途。它们犹如一座座丰碑,映照着云南交通职业技术学院毕业生们挥汗如雨、指挥若定的身影,也记录着学院令人称赞的辉煌历史。云南交通职业技术学院是2001年4月经省人民政府批准,由省公路局职工大学、省交通学校、省交通职工中等专业学校（交通干校）三校合并组建的一所培养适应生产、建设、管理、服务第一线需要,德、智、体、美全面发展的高等应用性人才的公办专科学校。2002年4月26日,云南交通职业技术学院举行了隆重的挂牌仪式。
