人民网战略变更的启示 《互联网站从事登载新闻业务管理暂行规定》出台后,已有新浪、搜狐等多家商业网站取得政府认证的合法网上新闻转载权。一方面,这意味着商业网站登载新闻的行为得以规范;另一方面,更意味着商业网站的“灰色”经营时代已过去,它们将以更鲜明的姿态、更强劲的手段与媒体网站竞争。 面对日渐规范的竞争环境,一些媒体网站开始进行战略变更。其中,人民网的调整颇具代表性。 2000年12月18日,人民网宣布推出“中国地方新闻联报网”、“人民健康网”、“人民书城”、“体育在线”、“人民导航”、“我的中国网”等六大专题子站,组建“集团网站”。

On December 18, 2000, People’s Daily announced the launch of the six major projects of “China Local News Correspondence Network”, “People’s Health Network”, “People’s Book City”, “Sports Online”, “People’s Guide” and “My China Network” Special sub-station, set up a “group website.”
