流行性出血热病毒(EHFV)为单股负链RNA病毒,其基因组RNA分为L、M、S三个片段,分别与同一种核壳蛋白结合再被包膜糖蛋白包裹成平均直径122nm(78—210nm)的圆形;卵圆形或多角形颗粒,外层为带突的双层包膜,三个基因片段具有保守的11个碱基完全相同。在感染EHFV的细胞浆内有多发性、特征性的包含体,具有病毒的抗原性,且仅具有病毒核蛋白抗原而不含病毒糖蛋白抗原成份。EHFV四种结构蛋白中,核壳蛋白(IVP)分子量为(50~53KD)、两种包膜蛋白分别为G_1:(65—74KD),G_2:(55—65KD)、L蛋白(200KD),后者可能是依赖RNA的DNA多聚酶。
