我省于1977年从河北省引进苦荬菜,分别于肇源,林甸,绥化和齐齐哈尔等地试种,结果产量高,品质好、含粗纤维少。茎叶柔嫩多汁,畜禽喜食,是发展畜牧业的高产优质青饲料。但因我省无霜期较短,苦荬莱生育期较长,因此得不到成熟的种子,影响了推广应用。黑龙江省畜牧研究所从1977年开始进行早熟苦荬菜的选育工作。经过连续5年的人工选择(多次混合选择法)和自然条件的风土驯化,现已育出早熟苦荬菜,生育期比原引苦荬菜缩短20多天,成熟植株达98%以上。1982年繁殖良种200多斤,1983年在省内推广种植,使苦荬菜在黑龙
The province introduced the bitter gourd vegetable from Hebei Province in 1977, which was planted in Zhaoyuan, Lindian, Suihua and Qiqihar, respectively.
