Arctic sea ice plays an essential role in regional and global cli-mate by dynamic processes and feedbacks associated with its high reflectivity,thermal insulation especially in presence of snow cover,and brine rejection [1].Both observations and model simu-lations show that Arctic sea ice extent has dramatically declined and thinned in the past few decades [2] in response to global warming and cumulative anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG)emissions [3,4].The Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) projects ice-free Arctic summers by this century under both high and low emission scenarios [5].The reduced sea ice cov-erage enhances the sea-ice albedo feedback,amplifying surface warming and promoting further ice melt in the Arctic [6].To slow down the loss of Arctic sea ice,limiting global warming to 1.5 and 2.0 ℃ above preindustriai levels was proposed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
