What kind of urban space do we need? What kind of mass transportation can support urban development in China? How can we not follow the environmental pollution experienced by some western developed countries in the process of rapid urban development? In the 2011 Global Forum on Sustainable Urban Development in the Future In the past, Walter Hook, the CEO of ITDP, James Corner, founder and head of the US FO firm, Karl Fjellstrom, President of ITDP China, and Gyarmati Zoltan, President of ITDP Europe of the United States, used many examples from various cities around the world to propose a high-level view: Low-carbon transportation enables cities to truly achieve sustainable development; urban space design focuses on building public gathering areas; the essence of eco-urbanization lies in allowing natural systems and public life to bring high-quality services and culture to citizens.
