For the first time, we investigated the smoking status and attitudes of medical students in the country. The results show that the smoking rate of male students in medical students is 50.6%. Among them, 11% were regular smokers and 39.6% were occasional smokers. In the past, the former smokers had quit rates of 20.1%, and the last year men smoking rate (59.5%) was higher than the first-year men smoking rate (42.3%). Different attitudes and opinions about different smoking habits, students of different grades who are concerned about the health hazards of smoking, the relationship between smoking and certain diseases, and whether they should pass laws to restrict smoking, are not the same. This survey illustrates the urgency of strengthening administrative measures to control smoking and medical education in medical schools.
