“Singing and breathing” is the method of voicing from beginning to end of Yi Schumann; it is also the credo that she firmly seized - the credo guiding her to successfully spend all her artistic career. If before a concert or opera, when she thinks of a particularly difficult passage, when she feels uneasy and does not hesitate, she keeps breathing and the mind is steadfast. She was convinced that it would be like a strong arm, helping her through every danger and never letting her fall. She also took this as a pair of sedatives: the few bars that stood onstage waiting for the accompaniment to begin its bounce, and she breathed deeply and fluttered her mind to calm down.
