以收藏中国历代艺术品为特色的天津博物馆,与福建虽远隔两千公里,但却珍藏着数量可观、质量上乘的一批明清福建籍人士铭砚。这些砚台质地以端石为主,形制题材多样,多有内涵丰富的题铭。题铭者大多为明清福州地区的官员、文人,是反映和研究这一时期福建历史文化的鲜活史料。天津博物馆藏砚源流天津博物馆收藏的明清古砚,大多源自天津著名古文物收藏、鉴赏家徐世章先生的捐赠。徐世章
Tianjin Museum, with its collection of works of art from all over China, has a distance of two thousand kilometers from Fujian. However, it houses a number of Ming-Qing Fujian-born Ming-Yan inscriptions, both of good quality and quantity.
