This paper reported the CT appearances of 30 cases of histologically confirmed spinal metastasis. The evaluation of CT in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of spinal metastasis was discussed. On CT the metastasis presented an osteolytic type, osteoblastic type or mixed type. The most common site of primary carcinoma were the lungs, breast and liver, and CT is sensitive in detecting and evaluating these lesions. Detectability was 100% with CT.
