转录因子是能直接或间接辨认和结合转录上游区段DNA的蛋白质。Nkx2.5和GATA-4是两个与心脏发育密切相关的转录因子。Nkx2.5参与了心脏形成,包括右侧环化、心腔分化、心脏间隔功能成熟以及工作心肌和传导系统的维持等过程。GATA-4在心肌分化增殖和存活及心脏肥大过程中起重要作用。Nkx2.5和GATA-4在蛋白质水平相互作用,调节心房利钠肽、骨形态发生蛋白和心脏限制性锚蛋白复制蛋白等启动子的表达。
Transcription factors are proteins that directly or indirectly recognize and bind upstream DNA segments. Nkx2.5 and GATA-4 are two transcription factors closely related to cardiac development. Nkx2.5 is involved in heart formation, including right circularisation, cardiac differentiation, functional maturation of the heart and maintenance of working myocardium and conduction systems. GATA-4 plays an important role in myocardial differentiation, proliferation, survival and cardiac hypertrophy. Nkx2.5 interacts with GATA-4 at the protein level to regulate the expression of atrial natriuretic peptides, bone morphogenetic proteins, and cardiac-restricted ankyrin replicons.
