伍家沟村与河北耿村两大故事村都流传大量的幻想故事,这些故事具有丰富文化意蕴。两村故事所表现的文化意蕴相同的内容主要有(1)希望借助神奇力量解救世人的危难,来惩治恶人,维护人间正义;(2)表达了以善为美的审美观念;(3)表达了对“孝”的道德伦理的遵崇;(4)表达了对坚贞爱情的渴望。两村故事的文化意蕴不同的内容主要有:(1)伍家沟故事表现了强烈的贵生意识、崇尚法术意识;(2)耿村故事表现了崇尚维护正义的刚烈之风。以及崇尚皇权、追求富贵的心理。其原因有两地民众受不同地域文化影响及两地所处不同地理环境影响所致。
