装备越野摩托车的二冲程单缸发动机,气缸容积为250~350厘米~3。这种大排量发动机的应用在稳步地上升。众所周知,该类型车辆为越野摩托车。最常用越野摩托车是以非公路行驶或大街上行驶差不多等量的。因此,用于越野摩托车发动机必须使速度和负荷在较大范围内具有最佳性能。特别是发动机工作必须稳定,转速必须平稳。然而,单缸排量为250或350厘米~3的二冲程发动机在部分负荷下转速为4000~5000转/分时,由于运转不稳定产生颤动及刺耳的金属声而造成的发动机不正常噪声等情况就会经常出现。这些情况是由发动机不正常燃烧引起的,并且与汽化器调整有密切关系。当空气和燃油混合物为稀浓度时,这些问题就变得特别突出了。
