Researchers at the University of Houston have unraveled a 163-year-old mystery: they have integrated the idea of ecology into the explanation of why “the colder the animals are.” This is a new interpretation of Bergman’s law that animals in high latitudes are larger than animals whose longitude is close to the equator.
