本文报导了棉铃虫核型多角体病毒对烟青虫有很强的致病力,其防治效果显著,达100%。感染寄主的体壁、气管、中肠和马氏管的上皮细胞,以及脂肪体和血细胞等组织,但对神经节、肌肉和后肠的上皮细胞则未见浸染。在受感染的组织细胞核中,病毒多角体大量增殖,故其细胞核膨大,当增殖到一定量时,约3~6天,细胞核、细胞体相继破裂,组织坏死,病虫死亡。在第5天时,为病虫的死亡高峰。病虫死后体内的组织全部液化。
