肝细胞癌(简称肝癌)是我国最常见的恶性肿瘤之一,死亡率较高。近年来手术切除率明显提高,但治疗效果并不理想。肝癌术后的早期高复发率提示体内可能存在一种从肝癌组织中扩散出的肿瘤细胞,这种细胞既有恶性肿瘤细胞特性,又有干细胞的部分特性,成为肝内复发或在远处器官的转移的根源之一。研究肝癌干细胞可能会改进治疗手段,改善患者的预后。
