随着我国经济的迅猛发展,人们物质生活水平在不断提高,人们对精神需求的质量也随之提高,对美的追求与向往也越来越广泛,这就需要人们具备一定的审美能力,而审美能力的培养必须从中小学生抓起,其主要途径是提高学校的美育功能。美育是学校教育教学的重要组成部分,然而长期以来由于受“应试教育”思想的影响,人们对美术课缺乏应有的重视,尤其是偏远的农村中小学,把美术教育列入“小三门”的副科之列。经了解,大部分农村中小学都存在着师资力量短缺、教学课时不足、教学设施简陋、课堂被占用等现象。
