本文用 X 射线法测定了40Cr 钢机床齿轮高频淬火后回火与不回火二组齿轮试样表面的残余应力沿层深分布.结果表明:距层深>0.07mm 以后,无论齿轮试样是否回火,其残余应力分布、数值大小均无多大变化;回火的效果只在齿面至大约0.07mm 深度范围内降低了25%~32%的残余应力;在距齿面0.1mm 处,回火与不回火试样的残余应力分布曲线上均对应一个拉应力峰,这个距离与齿面通常发生点蚀的深度是相一致的.这一试验结果指出了回火对这类高频淬火齿轮消除应力的实际效果,以及残余拉应力峰的存在位置客观上为齿面点蚀裂纹源的形成提供了潜在条件.
