For the first time in 1977, the authors reported differences in life-style cancer death rates and trends in the United States and Japan. As smoking, drinking, and eating habits have been changing over the years in both countries, the incidence of cancer and mortality have certainly changed. Therefore, the author thinks it is necessary to research and discuss it again.
