德智体全面发展的高中毕业生董加耕,不参加高考就直接回乡参加农业生产。这一事情,引起了多方面的、特别是在中学里工作的同志的重视。董加耕的事迹,对每个教育工作者来说,都具有深刻的教育意义。高中毕业生只能有小部分升学,大部分直接参加工农业,特别是农业生产。这样做,是改变我国一穷二白面貌的有力措施之一,而我们对此则认识不足。我们看到学生毕业后的志愿选择,往往是这样地排列:先升学,次服兵役(男同学),再次在城市里找工作,最后才是参加农业生产劳动。就是在升学志愿的选择上,也是考第一类的不愿选水利,考第二类的不愿选农、林、畜牧等专业,因为这有到农村去的“危险”。我

It is also the first category of unwillingness to choose water conservancy, and the second category to be unwilling to choose such majors as agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry, because this has the “danger” of going to rural areas.
