Plasmodium sporozoite body surface covered with a highly immunogenic surface ring protein, which accounts for 10 to 20% of the total protein, may have to protect protozoa against the external environment, an important function. Studying its structure apparently helps to understand the surface properties of sporozoites and provides a basis for the preparation of vaccines against Plasmodium infection. However, sporozoites can not be cultured in vitro, and mosquitoes obtained by the number of infection is not enough to meet the need, so the authors refer to Ellis and other methods to screen out the corresponding cDNA positive clones, and then Sanger and other methods to analyze its gene subtraction Base pair composition. As a result, it was found that a 12-fold repetitive region consisting of 36 subtractive pairs exists in the corresponding gene of this cyclopeptide, and the authors deduced that this protein has a sequence of 12 amino acid residues
