高职教育是我国教育事业的重要组成,肩负着为社会输送技能型人才的重任,英语教学不仅是对学生语言知识的扩展教育,也关系着学生今后的技术深造程度。本文基于这种背景探讨了当前高职英语教学工作的现状与问题,并据此提出了几点促进高职英语可持续发展的建议,希望能够对提高高职英语的教学水平有所帮助。
Higher vocational education is an important part of China’s education undertaking. It shoulders the heavy responsibility of conveying skilled talents to the society. English teaching is not only an extension of education for students ’language knowledge, but also relates to the students’ degree of technical education in the future. Based on this background, this article explores the present situation and problems of English teaching in higher vocational colleges, and puts forward some suggestions on how to promote the sustainable development of English in higher vocational colleges. I hope it can help to improve the teaching level of higher vocational English.
