Dance drama Confucius is staged at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., on January 13.
Confucius, the renowned educator and philosopher, lived approximately 2,600 years ago. The drama tells the story of the great sage visiting the various states that existed in China at the time to spread his ideas.
The China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater performed the show as part of a series of productions aimed at promoting traditional Chinese culture worldwide.
