The progress of crop quality breeding, to some extent, will be limited by the level of quality analysis.As the main raw material of beer industry, barley has certain characteristics of its quality requirements, and also different from other crops from the analysis means. The European Brewing Association (EBC) has developed a series of methods for the analysis of barley and malt quality. However, the amount of sample required for the analysis is relatively large and the testing process is complicated. Therefore, it can not be applied to the rapid detection of a large number of samples in barley quality breeding.
