The development of nuclear energy in the world is like a huge wave. From the late 1960s to the early 1970s, its peak was in the United States, when the United States annually ordered 30 million kilowatts of new orders for nuclear power plants. However, due to the excessive development momentum and the slow growth of electricity demand caused by the economic crisis, it has entered a downturn after the end of the 1970s and it is estimated that there will be no new orders until the 1990s. When the U.S. nuclear energy development entered a downturn, France developed rapidly. In 1980, the installed capacity of French nuclear power plants rose from sixth in the world to second in the world. At present, nuclear power has exceeded 70% of the total generating capacity. However, due to the slow growth of energy demand in France, the development momentum of nuclear power has been weakened. The orders for new nuclear power plants each year have been reduced from 56 units in the early 1980s to one unit.
