双关语究竟可不可译,历来是一个颇有争议的话题。文章回顾了中外学者对双关语翻译的研究,指出了其可译性,并运用Delabastita双关语翻译理论分析了《哈姆莱特》的两个中译本,以期给后来的译者以启示。
Pun can actually be untranslated, has always been a controversial topic. The article reviews the research of Chinese and foreign scholars on the translation of pun and points out its translatability, and uses the Delabastita pun translation theory to analyze the two Chinese versions of Hamlet in order to provide inspiration to later translators.
