丰碑,词典的解释为:“高大的石碑,比喻不朽的杰作,伟大的功业,有永久价值的证物或著名的事例,尤指值得记载或保存的艺术上或智慧上的成就。”不过,丰碑最初可不是碑,而是一种埋藏于地下的“引棺木”。据《礼记》记载,古时天子和诸侯下葬时,需要抬沉重的棺椁;下棺时,需要一种固定绳索的工具,而丰碑就是这种固定绳索的工具。最早的丰碑,上面是有圆孔的,然后用辘轳将绳索穿过中间的圆孔,或者缠绕其上,借以引棺下室。它不是石头雕的,而是木头砍成的。汉代以
