水库放水塔的作用是当下游灌溉需水时,将水库中的水经塔中闸门的控制向下游渠道泄放。因此它是水库的输水隧道的咽喉。过去放水塔的结构型式多是取水库的深层水,如图1所示。在我国西南地区取水库深层水来灌溉农田,对农作物的生长十分不利,因为灌溉用的水库一般是在秋冬蓄水,春夏泄水灌溉,在春季时水库的表层水的水温与深层水的水温相差颇大。例如峨眉地区在五月份开始灌溉放水时,水库的表层水的水温与当时气温相近约为18℃至20℃,而15米以下的深层水的水温则仅6℃至8℃。所以如能由水库表层取水引向下游灌溉,对农作物的生长无疑地具有重大的意义。近年来我国水利工程中已出现取表
