翻译与外语教学的关系极为密切,不同的外语教学方法对于翻译所扮演的角色认识不同。近年来受到认知学习理论和社会建构主义等的影响,国内外许多实证研究报告已指出在外语教学上使用翻译是颇具价值的资源和工具。本文探讨了翻译在外语教学法中所扮演的不同角色、翻译在外语教学中所可能产生正面和负面的效应、以及如何有效地使用翻译来增进外语教学的成效。
The relationship between translation and foreign language teaching is very close. Different foreign language teaching methods have different understanding of the role of translation. In recent years, influenced by cognitive learning theory and social constructivism, many empirical studies at home and abroad have pointed out that the use of translation in foreign language teaching is a valuable resource and tool. This article explores the different roles that translation plays in EFL teaching, the possible positive and negative effects translation may have on foreign language teaching, and how to use translation effectively to improve the effectiveness of EFL teaching.
