大豆新品种83—MF40是由美国著名农学家斯托姆教授培育而成的,曾获美国农业部科技发明创造金奖。1990年4月经江苏省盐城市南洋珍稀品种引育场引繁科引种5.3亩。种植实践表明,该品种具有独特的适应性、抗逆性及丰产性,平均亩产437.6公斤。得到有关部门的高度评价。一、植株形态及生理特性。83—MF40大豆株高90厘米,茎秆粗壮,根系发达:主茎17节,有效分枝5—7个;叶呈椭圆形,色浓绿;花白色,茸毛灰色;单株结荚105—133个,每荚均为3—4粒,偶有5粒,荚熟褐色,不裂荚;籽粒椭圆形,大而富有光泽,犹如珍珠,千粒重达310克左右,比常规品种高33%以上;全生育期107天左右。春夏均可播种,对温光反应不敏感。
