一、小球藻的食品价值小球藻含有20%以上的脂肪,50%以上的蛋白质,35%的碳水化合物,10%的矿物鹽类,和各种的維生素。它的营养价值比一般粮食高4—5倍,等于花生米的2倍,鷄蛋白的5倍,和奶粉的营养价值相等,凡是人体里所需要的醣类、維生素、无机鹽和氨基酸等都应有尽有。奶牛吃了可增加产奶量10—15%,鷄吃了重量增加成倍,生蛋多,抗病力强。故它不但是魚类的天然食料,而且是家畜家禽的良好飼料,如果用100克粗制的小球藻摻入面粉做餅干,可以頂得一个人一天的粮食。故在缺乏蛋白質、脂肪、维生素的情况下,应大量培养应用。
