重庆市,是我国西南地区和四川省最大的工商业城市,长江上游的经济中心,内河对外贸易口岸。重庆位于四川盆地东南部,以长江与嘉陵江的汇合处为中心,城市依山傍水,盘旋层叠,是有名的“山城”。清人张之洞“名城危踞层岩上,鹰瞵鹗视雄三巴”的诗句,形象地描绘出重庆山峦起伏,巍峨雄峻的磅礴气势。全市辖九区十二县,面积二万三千一百四十四平方公里。人口一千四百零六万,其中城镇人口三百二十万。
Chongqing Municipality is the largest industrial and commercial city in southwest China and Sichuan Province, the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the inland foreign trade port. Located in the southeast of Sichuan Basin, Chongqing is centered on the confluence of the Yangtze River and Jialing River. Qing Zhang Zhidong “city Cao Cao layer rock, Eagle 瞵 鹗 as the male and three bells ” poem, vividly depicts the ups and downs of Chongqing, towering magnificent majestic momentum. The city under the jurisdiction of nine districts and twelve counties, an area of 23144 square kilometers. The population is 14,600,000, of which the urban population is 3.2 million.
