现代视觉传达追溯根源,最早的表现形式或许就是原始彩陶上的装饰纹样。它们都是利用视觉图像进行信息传达,所不同的是,现代视觉传达设计主要是处理和解决人与物之间视觉信息的交流,而原始彩陶上的装饰纹样则是处理和解决人与人之间或人与神之间的视觉信息交流。因此,这两种跨越万年的视觉信息之间存在着必然的联系,了解和掌握了原始彩陶装饰纹样的涵义对于设计现代的视觉传达中的任何一种形式,都会起到很大的帮助。我们可以将彩陶纹样内在的象征涵义运用于当代的设计中,从而设计出可以引起人们共鸣的现代作品。
