地震综合预报是相对单项预报而言的。它是研究与地震有关的各种地球物理、地球化学、地壳形变和空间环境等单因子之间的关系和组合,从而预测地震的科学。可以认为单项是纵向的深入,综合是横向的联系。很多横向科学的理论和方法可以移用来作为发展地震综合预报的学科基础,例如概率论与数理统计、图象识别、信息论、控制论和系统论、模糊数学等。然而综合预报的物理学基础则是震源物理—化学、震源环境及与之有关的前兆理论。
Earthquake prediction is relative to the single forecast. It is a science that predicts earthquakes by studying the relationships and combinations of various earthquakes, geochemistry, crustal deformation, and space environment, all related to earthquakes. It can be considered that a single item is a vertical one, and synthesis is a horizontal one. Many transverse science theories and methods can be used as the basis for the development of comprehensive earthquake prediction, such as probability theory and mathematical statistics, image recognition, information theory, cybernetics and system theory, fuzzy mathematics and so on. However, the physical basis of comprehensive forecasting is the source physics-chemistry, hypocenter environment and the related precursor theory.
