胡椒味辣椒原产墨西哥,现为墨西哥、美国、西班牙等国人民最喜爱的良种辣椒之一。 1983年,我们从国外引进。经我校农场连续四年试种及1986年在重庆、西昌、隆昌、遂宁等八个点试验,均获成功。本品种属特辣型辣椒,具甜辣香脆特殊风味,且皮薄肉厚,耐藏经泡,富含营养,是制作泡菜、酱菜、腌菜的理想原料。烹制肉类,野味食物更堪称上乘佐料。本品种株高1.5—2.0尺,叶、枝深绿色。从栽培到采摘约70天。气温降至15℃仍能正常结实。在雅安可露地越冬,第二年萌生苗可提早半月结实。
