中国园林作为中国文化的一个代表,经过上千年的发展形成了一套独立的“浪漫主义”的创作语言与营造方法,这些思维方法对于现代景观设计实践与发展具有重要的指导意义。设计师应当把握当代园林创作的时代机遇,打破古典园林的历史局限,钻研传统理念的启示意义,融入现代生活的环境需求,开拓以人为本的,具有地域文化特色的景观设计,让传统园林的精髓得以延续与发展。通过对传统园林现实情况的解读,探讨在当代商业广场设计领域中的传承和发展模式,进一步让更多的景观设计从业者面对传统文化时,还应保持开拓创新的专业态度,寻找适合中国当代社会的需求,具有地域地点的、人本的、可持续的当代设计,只有这样中国未来的景观设计才会站稳脚跟。文章主要以苏州首座园林百货为例,探讨与发掘中国传统园林文化元素在现代商业广场景观设计中的运用。
