离子氮化是一种强化金属零件表面的热处理新工艺。其作用原理是:在真空容器内,通入少量氨气或氮、氢混合气,以真空容器当阳极,被处理工件为阴极,外加高压直流电场使气体电离,氮离子移向阴极,并以高速撞击工件表面,使工件发热,氮离子渗入工件,形成硬度高、耐磨、耐疲劳、耐腐蚀的氮化层。整个处理过程中工件被一层稳定的辉光所包围,故又称辉光离子氮化。
