清代传奇剧《长生殿》除了“恪守韵调”、“审音协律”外,还吸收了“雷海清骂贼”、《哭像》等歌哭、歌骂之传统。“雷海清骂贼”在明清骂戏中地位突出,与《桃花扇·骂宴》堪称骂戏双璧,在艺术构思上,都受到有明代徐渭的杂剧《骂曹》的影响;《哭像》上承孟姜女哭长城、庄子鼓盆而歌古俗,近袭关汉卿哭戏传统;本剧中吸收歌哭歌骂元素的情节场次,更是不胜枚举。这正是《长生殿》雅俗共赏、让观众喜闻乐见的一个重要原因。
