旭宇先生书法之精华凝聚于行草,行草书的主要特色表现于北碑与南帖之交融,堪称“晋韵魏骨”范例之作。我素有一种感觉,专工碑者失之于滞,笔墨淹留而不能劲速,灵动不足;专习帖者失之于滑,笔墨轻飘而不能人纸,流畅有余。碑帖兼工,则能凝重与流动兼得。若能融会贯通北碑南帖之间,自然是阳刚阴柔的妙合,也是难能之处,难能之处自是可贵之处。旭宇先生工碑以魏碑为主,习帖以晋人为主,在这两者之间探索融合之路,谋求个人风格,无疑是条灿烂而艰苦之路。
